BSA Troop 500 is a medium size troop in Wake Forest, NC. We meet at the Wake Forest United Methodist Church 905 S. Main Street, Wake Forest, North Carolina 27587 Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30. We would love to have you become a member of our troop. Any young man willing to live by the Scout Law, Scout Oath, and the guidelines set forth in the Troop Handbook is welcome to join as long as he is between the ages of eleven and eighteen.

2010 Troop Recharting Due March 8th

Scouts and Adult Leaders,

Troop recharter fees are due on March 8th for both scouts and adult leaders. Please pay your fees by this date to be rechartered with the troop. (Note: We don't assume anyone is being rechartered, so we need to hear from you please!).

Adult Leader Training - Wood Badge

Adult Leaders:

Here is your chance to top out your Adult BSA training. This is the highest adult training that BSA provides for leaders. It is a special event where you will learn a lot yourself, BSA and your organization Pack or Troop. Wood Badge is only held once a year and they only TAKE 48 adults from our council. If you are interested, complete the form and get it in ASAP.

Summer Camp Information - 2010

Parents, Scouts and Leaders:

This year for 2010 our summer camp will be at Camp Powhatan for the week of June 27 thru July 4th. Summer camp is an opportunity for your Scout to earn merit badges, be with other Scouts from other councils, develop skills, perform service projects, and have some adventure thru activities provided by the staff. It is a time of personal growth, and awareness and being self sufficient. Summer camp is truly a great experience and I encourage each and every one of our Scouts to attend.
